At Topher’s Beard and Soap Co., we believe in full transparency. You deserve to know exactly what goes into the products you use every day. That’s why we’ve compiled a detailed list of the raw materials used across our entire product line.
We believe what goes on your body can ultimately end up in your body. That’s why we source high-quality, responsibly chosen ingredients to give you effective, skin-safe formulations.
🌿 Natural + Synthetic, By Design
While the majority of our ingredients are naturally derived, there are times when a carefully selected synthetic ingredient is the better choice—either because it’s safer, more stable, or more effective.
For example, we often use fragrance oils over essential oils. Why? Many essential oils are volatile compounds not always tested for skincare use, while fragrance oils undergo rigorous testing for safety, stability, and performance. We still use essential oils where appropriate—always at safe concentrations and only those backed by real research.
We also choose synthetic preservatives for our water-based products. While we appreciate the appeal of “natural” preservation, it simply can’t compete when it comes to safety and effectiveness. Without proper preservation, water-based formulas are a breeding ground for bacteria, mold, and yeast—and that’s not a risk we’re willing to take with your health.
